How to record a DJ mix and share a tracklist

A recorded mix is the easiest way to show your work. Here is how to record a set in GoVibe Mix and add a tracklist people can use.

Before you start

Load your tracks into the Library so the console remembers their tempo, key and cue points. Check the master level, and keep the limiter switched on so loud peaks do not distort.

Record

Press Record on the DJ page. Choose WAV for the best quality, or a compressed format for a smaller file. Play your set as usual. Everything you hear, including the beat maker and pads, goes into the recording. Press Record again to stop and use the download link.

Build the tracklist

Open the History tab. Every track you play for twenty seconds or more is logged with its time. Press the button for the last recording and you get a list of titles with timecodes, ready to copy into a description. A track already playing when you pressed Record shows 00:00.

Check before you post

Listen to the file once. Make sure you have the right to share the music you used, because many platforms check uploads for copyrighted music. You can trim the start and end in the Audio Editor and export a clean WAV.
