Good to know
- MP3 is lossy and small. WAV is large and keeps every detail, so convert to WAV when you plan to edit further.
- Converting from MP3 to MP3 again loses quality. Start from the original or a WAV when you can.
- MP3 supports sample rates up to 48000 Hz, so higher rates are changed to 48000 Hz.
- Files over 300 MB are skipped. Very long files take more memory, so convert them one at a time.
- MP3 encoding uses lamejs (LGPL), shipped unmodified in
js/vendor/.
